Second Skin (clear wrap) INSTRUCTIONS

Leave the wrap on for the amount of time that your artist recommends (2 – 3 days).
The wrap is waterproof, and is safe to wear in the shower.

Ink/blood/plasma will build up inside the wrap, that’s totally normal and expected, and helps expedite the healing process.

If any liquid leaks out from the bandage, remove the wrap immediately, and continue on to the cleaning process.

After wearing the wrap for the recommended number of days, remove it (it’s easiest to remove in the shower),
and clean your tattoo with warm water and unscented anti-bacterial soap.
Pat dry with a clean towel and allow your tattoo to air dry for 30 minutes.

Your artist might recommend re-wrapping it and provide you with the supplies to re-wrap it.
If you need any assistance in re-wrapping, feel free to come in. This wrap can stay on for up to 6 days.

After the wrap is removed and the tattoo is clean, moisturize with a natural,
unscented product such as cocoa butter or shea butter. Apply in a thin layer at least
three times a day or whenever the tattoo looks/feels dry. Continue to moisturize for three weeks.

In rare cases, clients may have a mild allergic reaction to the adhesive on the wrap.
In this case, remove the wrap as soon as you notice any redness on the outside of the bandage.
Once removed the redness should clear up within several days.
It shouldn't affect the final heal of your tattoo.

MEDICAL PAD/PLASTIC WRAP INSTRUCTIONS

Take wrapping off 2 to 5 hours after application.

Wash with warm water and unscented anti-bacterial soap, pat dry with a clean towel.
Allow tattoo to air dry for 10 minutes.

Apply a thin layer of aquaphor to cover the tattoo.

Repeat the washing process three times a day for the first three days.

After this time, switch to a more natural moisturizer, such as coco butter or shea butter.
Apply a thin layer whenever the tattoo begins to feel dry or itchy over the next several weeks.

FOR ALL TATTOOS:

Keep away from direct sunlight for the first month.
After the tattoo is healed, continue to use sunscreen to protect your tattoo.

DO NOT submerge your tattoo underwater (pools, hot tubs, lakes/ocean, baths)
until your tattoo has healed completely (at minimum, one full month after receiving your tattoo).

Make sure to clean fresh tattoos immediately after work-outs or exercising.
